Overview
As part of the Tibshelf Schools Federation, we work closely with colleagues at the infants to ensure progression in Music. Music is a way of communicating that can motivate and allow children to express themselves in a different way. Music is a part of everyday life and so the teaching and learning of music allows children to develop a better understanding of the world that we live in. It allows the children to have fun and be creative. It also plays an important part in helping children feel part of a community. In all lessons children have the opportunity to create, play, perform and enjoy music, to develop the skills, to appreciate a wide variety of musical styles, and to form opinions on the quality of music that they are listening to.
