Having an Executive Headteacher over the 2 sites hasn’t worked well over the last 9 month’s. I know that there are alot of parents that think the same. In the document it says that ofsted rates both schools as good but that was when the schools had different Headteachers. I believe that both schools have gone down hill over the last 9 months with all the changes and this is impacting on the kids education. With ofsted due anytime this year I fear that with all this change the ofsted results maybe lower. Also I would say the new primary school is at least a minimum of 2 years away so would it not be better to wait until closer the time to begin this process?

In putting forward our proposals, we have tried to learn lessons from the Collaboration, and ensure the leadership structure of the Federation, along with the roles and responsibilities of those leaders, gives sufficient guidance, time, and strategic direction to ensure that they are able to fulfil their roles and continue to deliver the excellent education which we all expect. The Heads of School will be the primary focal point for their individual school, dealing with all day to day operational matters.

In coming to a decision to move to a Federation between the two schools, the primary aim is for the long term educational benefit of the children in the village. Whilst we are hopeful that a new school will be built, and children benefit from the advantages of new facilities, we are aware that no decision has yet been made, and we believe that Federating is the right decision to implement now, solely for the sake of the education of the children.
